Vegan Argentina
Argentina
The country is widely known for the tango, elegant architecture and soccer. Some of the most legendary figures of the twentieth century came from Argentina, including Eva Perón, Che Guevara, and Diego Maradona.
The Argentina landscape is extremely varied and ranges from steep Patagonian snow-capped mountains to tropical jungles and waterfalls.
Buenos Aires, the capital, is the fourth biggest city on earth.
Ushuaia lays claim to the tile of the southernmost inhabited city. Tourists flock here to see arctic wildlife such as penguins, seals, and killer whales. Visitors can take a ride on the End of the World Train to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where many of these animals live.
Vegan
This country is associated with beef production and is the second largest beef-eating nation in the world.
So it's possibly a surprise to learn that the capital is home to over 60 vegetarian and vegan restaurants. There has been a recent turn towards a plant-based diet for several reasons.
Celebrity footballers are leading the way and none are more well known than Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero who have adopted a plant -based diet to stay in the peak of shape.
Meat free mondays is an initiative coming from the highest level; no less than the presidential house, Casa Rosada, is also championing meat-free living, with the instructions coming directly from the president, the entire presidential office menu is vegan on a Monday.

Coming soon....
Argentina is the most amazing country, with so much to see from north to south, a month would just scratch the surface. Last year we were trekking in the Fitzroy range, with a small group. Let us know, what style of vegan trip you would like to see, and when you can go. We will organise a custom tour based on the group wishes. We have a great local team based in Buenos Aires.
